Selfies are an alternative of asking someone to take a photo of you or your group of friends. As people have confidence in their faces, most post their photos on social medias. I, myself, do take a lot of selfies with my friends and family and post it mainly on instagram. It is a pretty simple thing to do as you just need to focus the front camera of your phone to your face and find the angle that fits you the most.

The right camera angle, lighting, outfits and sometimes make-up are really important to teenagers in our generation. People tend to post selfies at the parties with their friends or family. In order for everyone to be in the photo, the use the newly invented device, called a selfie stick. A selfie stick is used to have a wider perspective of the view and are typically extensible and adjustable. I do personally have a selfie stick that my mom got in the Philippines. I’ve had it for 3 months now and it was really useful. I have witnessed many people use it before especially in significant events or areas, dozens of friends and tourists expands the stick up in the sky to have a better view of the scenery with them in it.

The popularity of taking selfies are rising, more and more people are getting confident and it actually helps their self-esteems rise up, but others gets too confident that others noticed that they take way too much selfies. I do not think they need to prevent people from using selfie sticks, as long as they use it cooperatively and safely. I have never witnessed someone got in danger because of a selfie stick. And besides, the whole squad can fit in one photo if you use a selfie stick!

The future is really scary because we have no idea where will be placed for the next 10-20 years but at the same time it is exhilarating as we could not wait to get the job that we’ve been dreaming of since kindergarten. As well as artificial intelligence, it is really breathtaking to know what will be the newest release but the advancements in it is also intimidating.

Technologies are unquestionably beneficial to most of the population in the world. It gives us the ability to be more open to the world and have the chance to embrace other cultures that the previous generations could not do. Technologies makes our lives easier. From text messages to face timing, we are able to communicate from different people around the world in just simple clicks.

I do not consider technology as a bad thing. It is made to make our lives in ease but other people take advantage of it in which people get lazier. People depend on the technologies they have. They rely on it as they believe that it is programmed with the intelligence of a human being, or even smarter as they think of it, so the assume that technologies already knows what they are doing. Inventors would produce many and more advanced technologies that could be more useful to humans. As people introduce different technologies each year, people would keep anticipating for more. People would be thrilled to find out the next product that would be released as they are aware that it is going to be better than the previous one.

As artificial intelligence grow, I personally think that it could the world would look really cool. They have already invented a 3d pen, watch them produce a device that could print buildings for homeless people to live in. The only problem that concerns me is that now that we are aware that it is growing and we keep letting it grow, but what if built in robots and such would take over our world? What if robots would dominate the human world? What if robots will invent humans instead of humans inventing robots?

It is really exciting to find out that we could design and 3d print our own city within seconds. As we invent more and more advanced technologies, there is no turning back. AI could either destroy us or help us. How will it affect our future?

Commercials have different techniques in advertising. They exhibit actions, phrases and illustrations that could be serious, dramatic or humorous, as long as it is known to a focused group of audience. As a certain group of audience is targeted, some would feel satisfied with the commercial but some would also be offended.

I think that this ad is highly offensive to others but at the same time it is not bad at all. This ad is offensive as they purposely showed how people would judge a human being. The difference between the car does not really make the person look more appealing. They use this kind of stereotype in order to convey the message that objects like the car would make a contradiction in judging a human being.

Although the ad is offensive, I also thought that this isn’t a bad idea. People advertise in various ways. They use different kinds of techniques in order for their product to be appealing. Sometimes, offending something and someone is used to advertised to get more attention. They advertise a product not to show that it is good but to prove that the product is efficient for a specific group of audience. Just like in the commercial, they used two similar yet different photos. They made the other less appealing than the one they are promoting to persuade the people in the audience with questions that would let them choose the photo with the one their promoting. Since the people who made their judgements aren’t actors, it’s easier to influence the targeted group of audience as they would believe buying this type of car would really make them more appealing in front of people. I do not consider this commercial as a bad idea as they use different ways in catching people’s attention.

Just like the photo below:

They used a skinny model to go with their skinny can that they are advertising. There is a weight-based discrimination in this photo as they are conveying that skinny models would suit in the photo. Since it has 0% of sugar, it is just appropriate to advertise with skinny models to prove that drinking “the new skinny can” would let your weight stay the same. Stereotypes in an advertisement could draw more attention to the audiences.

Parents have different ways in punishing their children. But this punishment is the meanest and cruelest one I’ve seen. This kind of punishment should not be publicized since it’s a family problem, this should be done privately. Punishments like this is not going to help their child or children improve in school. As I analyze this article, it could help their children’s lives worse.

Posting an embarrassing photo of your child on the internet have negative impacts as it could ruin a family’s reputation. Not only that, but other parents would most likely be against your parenting style since this punishment does not help a child to reflect on what they have done wrong. Furthermore, a parent should not punish their child directly, but should analyze and talk about it with their own children in order for their side to be heard. No one knows what actually happened. Probably he tried all his best in doing his work, but it just did not meet the teacher’s expectations that is why he got a low grade. I don’t think children should be punished just because their parents are not satisfied with the grades they get. Parents aren’t the one who’s learning and children have different techniques in learning something new. Every one has a reason in doing something unsatisfying, they are just needed to be heard. But the parents in the article did not want to hear their child’s explanation and decided to do the punishment right away.

Moreover, it would mostly ruin the kid’s reputation at school. Because of his old man-haircut, his peers and other people who have seen it on the internet could make fun of him because of him appearance. Making fun of other people because of their looks is considered as bullying. Making humorous edits about the photo is also considered as cyberbullying. All these direct and indirect comments about the photo could be seen by kid and have the possibility to feel depressed. He would feel ashamed and embarrassed because of one photo and could affect his mental health.

With this punishment, the parents could possibly make the child’s mental health get worse and could not focus in school. This kind of punishment is unquestionably unacceptable as it would not help their child improve as they wanted them to be and would make them worse to the point that it is affecting someone’s health. Punishments occur in order for children, youths and also adults in order for them to learn, reflect and improve from their mistakes, not to embarrass publicly.

Twitter is a social media where people communicate with their friends, socialize, meet new people and discover new things happening around the world. Although you can do variety of stuff on twitter, there are also many negative impacts that could harm an individual.

We communicate, laugh together behind our screens and share our inner thoughts about things to other people. Sharing your own opinion about a certain thing isn’t bad but sometimes other people take it too seriously to the point that they feel offended even your tweet is not directed to them.

And this is where cyberbullying takes place. I have seen many direct and indirect tweets on twitter, some are good but mostly are bad. This kind of action is really necessary to high school students. Since we are teenagers, we don’t usually accept a lot of people in our life, but it’s normal, it happens all the time.

Direct hate tweets are inappropriate, it doesn’t matter if you know an individual personally or not. Online hate is a sin and mentioning their names in public makes it worse. Telling someone’s weakness publicly is utterly wrong. Once you post something on twitter, not only your friends can see it, but also people around the world.

The inventor surely did not intend to create twitter to be used for negative purposes, but people made it happen. There are many negative impacts on twitter that the inventor did not want or expect to happen and cyberbullying is just on of them.

I used to post on twitter almost everyday, but now I only go there to check what’s happening and to greet people on their birthdays. I don't really post anything really personal on twitter but some might do and some people can easily copy your personal information and put on sites without you knowing.

People need to be aware, including myself, on the things we post not only on twitter, but also in other social medias. There are many limitations that are forgotten or ignored that could lead any of us to the wrong direction.

I’m pretty sure a lot have experienced or witness cyberbullying or invading privacy on social medias, do you think hating on others will give a lot of attention? If so, do you think you will gain a good reputation from this?

Everyone knows that celebrities and paparazzi's are enemies. They don't get along in this society. Celebrities will fight, yet the paparazzi's will fight back. They do it every day as their source to live. They would either try to give the celebrities a good image in public, but mostly they would try and reveal unpleasant secrets to the public. In my opinion, the celebrities should know that all their privacy will be gone if they decide being celebrities. Each and everyone in the society are watching them. Therefore, it can't be prevented.

In this article, instead of catching, he's the one who got caught. Being a pap is also tiring and hard. They may not want to get in the celebrities' lives, but they have to do it in order to make a living. Sometimes, they will stay all day and night just for a single photo. They might feel the sense of guilt at the end, but that's what they get paid for.

Some celebrities complain how they've been stalked and chased by the paparazzi's. They've heard a lot of unpleasant rumours from the paparazzi's, but that's the result of being famous. Some will defend the paparazzi's actions as journalism, when it is really assault. In my opinion, it's both of their faults. If the celebrities don't want to interrupt their privacy, then they should've made a careful decision before entering the entertainment industry. However, the paparazzi's should learn how to limit themselves because celebrities aren't gods, they're also humans just like us. Each and everyone's privacy should be respected in order for a person to live peacefully.
